Framework for the 2024 season

The 2024 Hornets Baseball program will be structured to provide a steady yet manageable flow of instruction, tournaments, showcases, games, and practices. We are still awaiting schedules to be released to secure additional events. The roster will be limited to 12 players to maximize playing time and exposure.

 

Since all of our players also participate in high school baseball, our schedule is designed to support and complement their other teams.

To be sensitive to family events, there will not be games or practices:

• Spring Break/Easter week

• Mother’s Day

• Father's Day

• Memorial Day Weekend

• July 4th

Winter Workouts

(Jan. 7 - Feb. 25)

• 8 weeks of Indoor Winter Workouts

• Varsity tryout prep; PBR metrics showcase prep

• Sunday nights, 6:30pm to 8:30pm; Alternate Super Bowl date 

• Coach Krentzman to provide college recruiting advice and help

 

PBR Scout Day & Metrics Showcase

Feb. 17, 2024

• Measures 60 yd dash; exit velo; throwing/pitching velo; fielding; cognitive

• Includes PBR player profile page with metrics, video, photo, social media​

• Qualifier for PA state games for Summer 2024

 

March & April

• Dark for varsity seasons

• Coach Krentzman available to provide consulting on college prep, recruiting, and admissions

 

May

• Preseason practice 1/week - TBD

• Optional depending on varsity schedules

• Premium turf facility for specialized practices

• Gorgeous new turf field @ Devon Prep School

• Bullpens for pitcher & catcher instruction

• Batting cage for hitting instruction

• Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6pm to 8pm

• Guest coaches and scouts to participate

• Run by D1 Penn State assistant coach

• College coaches and scouts directly interact with players

About Hornets Tournament Baseball Team

This 17u travel baseball team plays tournaments and games in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Players come from PA local towns such as Phoenixville, Collegeville, Wayne, Radnor, Methacton, Conshohocken, Berwyn, Upper Merion, Exton, Audubon, Arcola, Kimberton, Gladwyne, West Chester and surrounding areas.
